Do You Use AI to Design or Draw House Plans?

No. Every Fine Line Design project is designed and modeled by us in ArchiCAD, a professional BIM software used to create the building model, floor plans, elevations, sections and construction documents. For architectural renderings, we use Lumion.

AI can create impressive images and can be useful for certain everyday tasks, but an image is not a set of construction drawings. It does not replace the detailed, dimensionally accurate BIM model required to actually build a house.

We continually test new technology, including AI, but we only incorporate tools when they genuinely improve our work.

For existing homes, we also use LiDAR scanning to help capture existing conditions and dimensions. LiDAR is a measurement and scanning technology, not generative AI.
